Sasha Ramnarine is a Senior Business Lawyer at Remedios Lawyers Law Corporation. After practising with Remedios & Company Law Corporation, Sasha has decided to join Remedios Lawyers, where he continues to advise entrepreneurs, investors, family businesses, and growing companies across British Columbia and Canada.
Sasha's practice is focused on corporate and commercial law, commercial real estate, and estate planning. He regularly advises clients on business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, asset and share transactions, corporate reorganizations, commercial agreements, financing, governance, and strategic planning. Working closely with businesses at every stage of their development, Sasha provides practical, commercially focused legal advice that helps clients build, grow, protect, and transition their businesses.
Sasha brings a strong business perspective to his legal practice, shaped by his early experience operating his family's Trinidadian restaurant in Kitsilano and a professional background spanning multiple industries. This experience enables him to provide legal advice that is grounded not only in the law, but also in the commercial realities faced by business owners, investors, and corporate decision-makers.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from Simon Fraser University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. He also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, reflecting advanced training in corporate governance, board leadership, strategy, and risk oversight.
In addition to his legal practice, Sasha is actively involved in governance, education, and community leadership. He currently serves as a Director of the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade and has previously served on the New Westminster Police Board and the Board of Directors of Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia. He is also a Term Assistant Professor of Practice at Simon Fraser University and an Instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where he teaches business law, employment law, and business fundamentals. Sasha has also mentored entrepreneurs through Futurpreneur Canada and business students through the Beedie School of Business, and has been recognized on the Beedie Teaching Honour Roll.
In recognition of his professional accomplishments and leadership within the business community, Sasha was named one of Business in Vancouver's Forty Under 40 in 2023.
