Hanyuan Wu is an Associate Lawyer at Remedios Lawyers Law Corporation. After summering and completing his articles with Remedios & Company Law Corporation, Hanyuan has decided to join Remedios Lawyers, where he continues to advise individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations across a broad range of corporate and commercial, real estate, and immigration matters.
Hanyuan earned his undergraduate degree in Landscape Design in China before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. During law school, he volunteered with Student Legal Services, where he gained practical experience assisting clients with a variety of legal matters. He also participated in the National Immigration Law Moot, further developing his advocacy and legal research skills.
Prior to attending law school, Hanyuan interned in the legal department of a publicly listed company in China, where he gained valuable insight into corporate operations, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, and the practical application of Chinese legal and business practices. This experience continues to provide him with a unique perspective when advising clients with cross-border and international business interests.
Hanyuan assists clients on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including business organizations, commercial transactions, corporate governance, commercial agreements, regulatory matters, and commercial real estate. He also assists clients with immigration matters and works closely with the firm's lawyers on a broad range of commercial and cross-border legal issues.
Fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, Hanyuan is well positioned to advise and communicate with clients conducting business throughout Canada and the Asia-Pacific region. He also has limited working proficiency in Japanese.
